The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has moved in to investigate the alleged grabbing land belonging to the Nakuru Agricultural Training Centre (ATC).
This followed complaint lodged by the Nakuru County government with the anti-graft agency, over the alleged grabbing by some private developers.
The grabbers are alleged to have illegally occupied part of the institution’s 130-acre land, and fenced it off five acres.
Further to this, the said grabbers have also allegedly irregularly acquired the institution ‘staff houses.
Grabbing of public land is one of the most pervasive corruption endemics, with the anti-graft agency having recovered hundreds of acres of public assets worth billions.
