Kenya will join other nations around the world to commemorate the Internationalnal Anti-Corruption Day (IACD), which is commemorated on the 9th day of December each year as per the United Nation’s calendar of World events.
The commemorations, which will be observed in two Counties; Mombasa and Isiolo, will be led by the Kenya Leadership and Integrity Forum (KLIF) which brings together all stakeholders involved in fighting corruption in the country.
According to the United Nations the 2021 International Anti-Corruption Day seeks to highlight the rights and responsibilities of everyone – including States, Government officials, civil servants, law enforcement officers, media representatives, the private sector, civil society, academia, the public and youth – in tackling corruption.
The theme for this years IACD is: “Your right, your role: Say no to corruption”.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is leading the KLIF partners to commemorate the day with various event leading to the day including trainings on Integrity, caravans to create awareness, webinars, talk shows on TV and Radio to highlight the day. The social media engagements content will be tagged under #NoToCorruption and #IACD2021.
