Two former senior Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) officials were slapped with a fine totaling KES.18, 460,000, as the efforts of Multi-Agency teams against graft bore fruit.

Former Finance Manager Duncan Muisyo was fined Ksh. 11, 530,000 in default 7years imprisonment while Elizabeth Oywer, former Registrar/CEO, was fined Ksh. 6,930,000 in default imprisonment for 7 years.

Following successful investigations and prosecution by the EACC and ODPP, a Nairobi Anti-Corruption Court convicted the two for various corruption offenses including conspiracy to commit corruption, abuse of office, and fraudulent acquisition of public property. The two convicts embezzled the public funds through a secret bank account, investigations revealed.
