PRESIDENT-ELECT DR. WILLIAM RUTO SAYS FIGHTING CORRUPTION WILL BE IN HIS 100 DAYS TO-DO-LIST

President Elect Dr. William Ruto pronounced himself on the issues of fighting graft when he issued his inaugural statement immediately after the Supreme Court of Kenya upheld his election as the 5th President of Kenya.

Responding to a question from the media on what he intended to do to fight graft, President Elect Ruto commented on the issue of resources for some of the -graft agencies that depend on resources from the Office of the President. He promised that they will have their own independent budget and an Accounting Officer so that, “they can go after anybody that is involved in graft or in wastage or in theft without getting permission from the Office of the President.”

He also assured Kenyans that his government will treat those institutions as the constitution expects, as independent institutions. He promised to pronounce himself more on the same in a statement on the things that will be in his 100 Days To-Do-List.
